2011 Benefit
The 6th Annual Benefit was held on November 12, 2011 at Fulton's on the River, Chicago. Steve Cochran was the Master of Ceremonies and Stephen Propst was the guest speaker, Our silent auction featured wonderful items, including fine jewelry, wine, one-of-a-kind events, handmade unique leather purses, handmade stunning beaded jewelry, handmade jewelry made of stones, sports items and other special offerings.
We were honored to welcome Stephen Propst as our guest speaker. Steve is a contributing editor to bp Magazine, in which his "Mind Over Mood" column appears regularly.
He is past president of the National DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance) as well as president of DBSA Metro Atlanta. Steve uses his own personal experience with bipolar disorder to impact audiences and change lives. He has presented at conferences, trained pharmaceutical representatives and addressed medical school classes as well as spoken to corporate managers, civic groups and family/consumer groups.
Steve impacts audiences with his open, honest style, and he does so with a sense of humor. Steve’s premise is simple and an integral part of his own recovery: perspective matters! How you see a situation determines your ability to successfully manage it.
