Rebecca's Dream is pleased to announce that three grants were awarded during our first grant-making cycle that ended on March 31, 2011. They cover the time period from June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012.
The first grant award provides funding for a study guide to accompany and enhance the new video, "Real Teenagers Talking About Depression." This project will be executed by Erika's Lighthouse and targets 8th graders through high school sophomores in an exciting and innovative way, allowing teachers an opportunity to explore the subject in more detail. Erika's Lighthouse is committed to changing how a community deals with childhood and adolescent depression by educating children, educators and parents. Their mission is to help break the stigma surrounding depression so that those who are suffering can get the help they need.
