Stephen Propst is an advocate, author, consultant and speaker. He has lived with bipolar disorder for over 30 years, facilitated support groups for over 15 and been a contributing editor to bp Magazine for over 10. Stephen formerly served on a national mental health board for 7 years. He has an MBA from Michigan State University and worked in the hotel/restaurant industry for a number of years.
Stephen uses his personal experience and ultimate recovery to educate, enlighten and empower audiences. He has presented at conferences, taught pharmaceutical reps, trained police officers and addressed medical school classes. He has spoken to corporate managers, civic organizations and family/consumer groups. His presentation style is open, honest and appropriately humorous!
Stephen is also a consultant to persons confronting mental health issues. He helps families better understand these conditions and those living with bipolar or depression move toward recovery. He is still very much a work in process himself.
